As a native of Pensacola, Florida, Alan has been on or in the Gulf of Mexico since he was old enough to swim. His natural love of the warm Gulf waters and it’s beautiful underwater world inspires his natural artistic instinct. Every fishing or diving trip stirs up a new idea for the next painting.
Since 1983 Alan has designed award winning artwork for dozens of saltwater tournaments and retail establishments catering to the marine industry throughout the United States, the Carribbean Sea, and Central America. In addition to traditional fine art Alan specializes in digital illustrations for both offset publications and the screen printing industry.
His list of clientele includes: the Southern Kingfish Association; the American Striper Association; the Yamaha Professional Kingfish Tour; the Mercury Professional Kingfish Trail; the Florida, Alabama, Georgia,Texas, and North Carolina Coastal Conservation Associations; ESPN’s Sportsmans Challenge TV series; ESPN’s BXRL Fishing trail; American Yachts; Blazer Boats; Ranger Boats; Wellcraft Boats; Galati Yachts; Hogs Breath Saloon; Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville stores; and dozens of sportfishing oriented bars, restaurants, marinas, dive shops, and bait and tackle stores.
